Upon reaching level two I would select your weapon focus I prefer Longsword with this build and will pair it with a large shield, as well as increasing my discipline. I peronally prefer to use a Good or Neutral Alignment, so that I can multiclass into a Champion of Torm. Of course Race can be changed based on preferance. The bonus resistances are more usefull than one feat. I use this just being that you will get plenty of feats from being a fighter so a Human will not give you many bonuses other than one extra feat. But my go to build is a Half-Elven Fighter. There are many different builds for Fighter that I use that usually change based on what my party consists of.
